The Academy runs sail training for everyone, youths, adults, families, school and corporate groups. We have seen an upsurge in families wanting to learn to sail together as the sport provides real quality time together. Furthermore, sailing is one of the few sports where men and woman compete alongside and against one another, as mental agility is often more important than brut strength out on the water.
False Bay has some of the best sailing in the Western Cape. The NW is an offshore breeze which is ideal for teaching sailing as the sea is relatively flat. In the summer months, it is warm and sunny, and while you need to be cognisant of the SE that often comes through in the late afternoon, the mornings and early afternoons can provide some great sailing in the Bay.
