Youth Club House - Sailing Library Book Drive

Youth club house sailing library book drive

Sometimes the weather just doesn't want to play along. Curses, foiled again ! (unfoiled?) For days when the weather is unsuitable for sailing, why not read about sailing. No, not only more theory and tactics, but swash-buckling novels about sailing and racing.

Our Sailing Library will be unique, as all the books will be about Sea, Sailing and Water related subjects. To date we have approx 25 books, which range from 6 novels by Sam Llewellyn, (who is to sailing what Dick Francis is to horse racing.) to Great Tales of the Sea, several "Hornblower" type books and a plethora of mixed sailing novels.

Please have a look at your bookshelves at home. Do you have any water related books and novels you could donate ?? If so please hand them in at the office.

Please remember that all contributions must be age appropriate for our Youth Sailors.

UPDATE on Sailing Library - XMAS '15

We have had a bookshelf donated plus numerous books and magazines. Pop in to the Training Room for a quiet browse ... there are extensive informational books and "How to's" plus an incredible 15 year complete collection of Boat Owner and other sailing magazines.

This faculity is open to all members both young and old, you may even be able to cadge a tea or coffee if the kettle has just boiled.

We take this opportunity to thank all our Donors, both large and small.
